calisthenics and mile thursday

when i was in seventh grade we had to run the mile every thursday.  i dreaded that day all week every week.

i love this video for so many reasons. watch it before you read more.

the freckles,
the puddles,
the train,
the yell-singing,
the heart pumping,
the fireworks.

i want to be friends with every one of these kids,
that last boy especially.
