WORD

now take the word elegy, for one.  that is a word that sounds the exact opposite of what it means.

elegy: a mournful or melancholic poem, usually sung at a funeral.

are you kidding me?  elegy?  say it.  the word is so graceful and dainty!  if i had my wordy-way, "elegy" would mean "a delicate, whimsical song. like the laughter of fairies, or skipping through fields of tall grass"
