"but Paris will always be my hometown"

I'm very excited to introduce to you a new project I've been working on: What a Lovely, the Europe Edition.  It's been one year exactly since I was gallavanting all over Europe.  I want to share that with you now.  This project's been in the works for some time now, and I've got all kinds of good things in store: stories of love, stories of regret, legends fulfilled, adventures in food, and as always lots of photography, music, and video .

sweet parie!, my favorite day of all

i hear this song and i am carried to paris, rue du renard, the city rainy and sparkling,
and floating through the mirror sidewalks
to an art museum
and a man behind a crepe stove
to a bubble man
and a bicycle crowd
and shimmering my way through the three-fourths melody
sweet like the streets
and the crepes,
papillon,
winding the melody
and this morning
and this day
into my dreams.

oh, you couldn't read that, you say?  maybe that's because the keyboards here in the city of lights are all crazy!


what to say in the few minutes left--
paris has truly beautiful nutella crepes.
they melt a part of your soul.

the eiffel tower really is as magical as you think it would be
especially because its flanked on all sides by carousels and ice cream trucks,
which just happen to be two of my favorite things.
(were you built for me, sweet paris?)

and sitting in front of notre dame every evening
in the sweet parisian air
and boys playing guitar and singing in french

ooo la la.  enchante, sweet paris.
